About Us
The term "Talented Tenth" originated from a concept introduced by African American scholar and activist W.E.B. Du Bois in the early 20th century. Du Bois believed that the advancement and progress of the Black community could be achieved by empowering a select group of educated and talented individuals, who would in turn uplift the entire community.
The Talented Tenth Apparel Ltd. Co. is a company that recognizes the rich history, legacy, and significance of HBCUs in promoting educational opportunities for Black students and was created with the specific goal of providing paraphernalia options for the 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
